The Library has three audience recordings.
The first is a pretty good, but incomplete, monaural recording, compromised by the usual audience
chatter and revelry. The taper, Keith, who very kindly sent the Library his Master tape, wrote: 'This
one is missing the first 4 1/2 songs. I was standing outside of the SHOWROOM hoping somebody would come
by with some comp. tickets for me and my girl. Sure enough, some dude came by and said"Dylan sucks" &
gave me his tix. We heard the whole show but I couldn't whip my recorder out right in the hallway. Its
pretty good. We were in the 9th row on the left side. Killer "DRIFTER'S ESCAPE"! Enjoy.' The
recording begins roughly two and an half minutes from the end of Tangled Up In Blue. Otherwise, clean
and problem free. Thanks Keith! Dubbed 12/02/00. 90 min. Request 001118L1.
The second is a very good stereo recording, compromised only by the brief failure of the venue's sound
system and a good bit of audience chatter and revelry, including some X rated vulgarities. Regarding
the sound system failure, Jeremy, who recorded the performance on MiniDisc, wrote: "The only real
problem was the late show in Atlantic City when Bob blew an amplifier and lost vocals. You can only
hear the band play for the end of one song and the beginning of the next." The affected songs are My
Back Pages and It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding). Otherwise, clean, complete and problem free.
Thanks Jeremy! Dubbed 12/29/00. 100 min. Request 001118L2.
The third is taken from an amateur hand-held video recording that suffers from a few glitches at the
outset and intermittent static, throughout. Otherwise, complete and problem free. Thanks, Ruth! Dubbed
05/02/01. 100 min. Request 001118L3. Video source also available on 120 min. VHS.
